I also love fall because of all the fun, free family activities that come out. Pumpkin patches, church carnivals and festivities, & parks (since we live in Florida where it's steaming in the summer, we rarely go to the park unless it's fall or spring :) )
So last Saturday we headed toward the Pumpkin Patch that we have been going to for a few years now. They have all kinds of fun little activities along with the patch, like bouncy houses, petting zoo, face painting, ect. There are some great things about going to church festivals. The people are almost always very friendly, it's a great place to meet people, especially if you're looking for a new church home, and because it is a church they are not able to set a price on most of their festivities, which means that just about everything is considerable donation. This is nice if you are on a tight family budget. Knowing your money is going toward something good is nice too.
When we are finished at the Pumpkin Patch we go to a park that is close by called Turkey Creek. Just the name of the park alone suits visiting after the Pumpkin Patch doesn't it? :) This park is beautiful. It is designed for you to enjoy a picnic under a beautiful pavilion, to then enjoy nature as there is a trail that is very family friendly. We usually go with our extended family to this place, because "the more the merrier" here. If you are local in the panhandle region, and have never been to this park, I will add a link for you.
Happy Homeschooling!
